RailCorp intends disposing its non-core movable Heritage Rolling Stock through an EOI (Expression of Interest) process. The purpose of this EOI process is to allow RailCorp to assess community groups, organisations, conservation societies etc. to manage and preserve these heritage items.
As part of its Sustainable Rail Heritage Asset Management Strategy, Rail Corporation New South Wales (RailCorp) has undertaken a review of its moveable heritage collection to determine which items will remain in the collection to be managed by the Office of Rail Heritage and those that will be disposed of. Assets that will not be retained by the Office of Rail Heritage may nonetheless be worthy of retention by another organisation. Therefore an EOI is being called for the disposal of surplus moveable non core heritage rolling stock from preservation, societies and community groups etc.
The purpose of the EOI process is to allow for the assessment of the ability of organisations to manage these heritage assets. The conservation of the items through their appropriate disposal is the primary priority of this process.
Respondents are invited to provide the information requested in Part B of this EOI to assess their Response. Conditions and Guidelines of the disposal of Rolling Stock are outlined in Part C.

An information session shall be held on Thursday, 15 May 2008 @ 10 am. All respondents to assemble near the Office of Rail Heritage Main Concourse (opposite Platform 7 of Central Station Sydney).
