Tender Details

The Common Telemetry Infrastructure Platform (CTIP) is a new strategic concept for RailCorp to enable bi-directional communication with trains on a real-time basis

The Common Telemetry Infrastructure Platform (CTIP) is a new strategic concept for RailCorp to enable bi-directional communication with trains on a real-time basis. It is intended to deliver CTIP in line with the delivery of the new PPP (Public Private Partnership) trains being built by Reliance Rail. The new trains have more electronic functionality than previous fleets and provision has been made for incorporating the CTIP unit

The new functionality allows RailCorp to have bi-directional communication with the train on a real time basis.

The Contractor is responsible for the design and development of a CTIP prototype solution which includes four parts:

- the Set-borne CTIP system;

- integration with the Set Borne Gateway

- the wireless communications system; and

- the shore-based CTIP system.
