It is proposed to replace the current semi permanent bar coupler at the A1 end of each Endeavour car with a coupler arrangement compatible with Xplorer mini automatic couplers (Voith-Scharfenberg type 330) and Endeavour & Xplorer automatic couplers (Voith-Scharfenberg type 10) mechanical head .
The objective of the change is to enable the mixing of Endeavour and Xplorer car sets and be able to couple and uncouple cars using a safer process that will minimise the risk of injury for Technicians.
