TransGrid / Transmission Lines (Overhead) – Line Works and Tower Life Extension Services - 1424EOI

Through this request for Expression of Interest (EOI), TransGrid is seeking potential contractors for the provision of Transmission Line works and tower life extension services, as outlined in Section 2 - Scope. TransGrid intends to use the result of this EOI to:

·    Gain a better understanding of the marketplace for transmission line works;

·   Gauge the interest of contractors in performing TransGrid works described in this EOI;

·    Understand technical ability and industry experience in similar works;

·   Pre-qualify and select a short list of potential contractors from respondents to the EOI; and

·    Issue a Request for Tender (RFT) to those short-listed contractors only for the creation of a panel of contractors for transmission line works.

In addition to the above, TransGrid is seeking responses under Part 2 – Additional Services from service providers capable of undertaking the following services:

·    steel tower inspection and condition assessmen

·    expert engineering cost estimation for transmission line works

Expression of Interest For Pre-Qualification - An invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for pre-registration of prospective tenderers for a type of work or service. Applicants are initially evaluated against published selection criteria. RFT may then be invited from a panel of providers (as Selective, or Invited).
