TransGrid / Expression of Interest - Design & Construct GIS Substations - Q73/09

An Expression of Interest (EOI) is being called for the design and construction of the Principal’s future 330kV and 132kV Gas Insulated Switchgear (GIS) Substations. The intention is to establish a panel of “pre-qualified” Tenderers for the GIS substation projects for a period of three (3) years with an option of a further two (2) years, as and when required by the Principal, from the date of the Principal’s Letter of Acceptance.

Subsequent to this EOI, the pre-qualified list of Tenderers will be issued with the specification for the design and construction of each of the proposed GIS Substations listed below, in accordance with the program indicated in Section 1.3 of the Specification:

• Beaconsfield West 330/132kV Substation Reconstruction
• Holroyd 330/132kV Substation
• Rookwood Road (Potts Hill) 330/132kV Substation

Tenders may be issued for individual substation projects or for a group of substations.

Expression of Interest For Pre-Qualification - An invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for pre-registration of prospective tenderers for a type of work or service. Applicants are initially evaluated against published selection criteria. RFT may then be invited from a panel of providers (as Selective, or Invited).

Mandatory Information Session

A mandatory information session will be held at 2:30 pm on Tuesday 4th August 2009, at Hyde Park Plaza Hotel (38 College Street, Sydney). At this information session, a brief overview of each of these projects will be given and there will be an opportunity for Tenderers to ask questions regarding the EOI and pre-qualification process.
