The Specification provides for the design, manufacture, testing at works, supply and delivery to the Principal’s nominated sites, of Composite Longrod Insulators, Line Post and Horizontal Vee Insulators for overhead power transmission lines to the 31/12/2016 with two optional one year extensions. The composite insulators shall incorporate a fibreglass resin load bearing core protected by external weather sheds and shall be complete with end fittings. Porcelain insulators and toughened glass insulators are excluded.
