Palisade Security Fences at Murray Switching Station, Gadara, Guthega & Wagga 132kV Substations and Balranald 220kV Substation.
The Works include the design (partial), supply (partial), fabrication (partial), transport to site, construction, testing and commissioning of Palisade security fencing at the Principal’s Murray, Gadara, Guthega, Balranald and Wagga Substations. The Principal has supplied part of the fence equipment and material.
In addition to the above the Contractor shall undertake site surveys, geotechnical investigations, preparation, removal and disposal of existing fencing, installation of new fences and remediation of the sites.
The Works shall be designed and constructed to comply with relevant Australian Standards, the requirements of Australian Regulatory Authorities, the Building Code of Australia, other relevant Standards and with this Specification and drawings. This work will include, but is not be limited to, the following items:
a) Supply and installation of fencing and gates as detailed in drawings and specification, and removal and disposal of redundant fencing,
b) Obtaining all regulatory and authority approvals.
c) Procurement and supply of all items, plant and equipment required to complete the Works except for those Principal-supplied items listed in Clause 1.1.11 of this Specification.
d) Preparation of technical data and test reports for Contractor-supplied plant and Equipment and forwarding to the Principal for review.
e) Collection, co-ordination, packaging, loading and unloading, transporting to site, and handling of all materials, both Principal and Contractor-supplied, required to complete the Construction of the works,
f) Provision of all facilities required by the Contractor to complete the works, eg offices, sheds, storage facilities, toilets, telephone, power, etc, and their removal upon completion,
g) Site surveying and setting out of the works and Geotechnical investigations at all sites,
h) Clearing of materials presently on the site, including any demolition required for installation and subsequent reinstatement, and reinstatement of disturbed areas,
i) Clearing of vegetation (including trees) necessary to construct the fence,
j) Maintenance of the integrity of the Substation fence at all times,
k) Dismantling and removal of any redundant fencing and equipment,
l) Preparation and issue of a complete set of as-built drawings, at practical completion of each separable portion.
m) Preparation and issue of Operating and Maintenance Manuals for the security fence system.

The site inspections shall commence at Guthega Substation and finish at Balranald Substation as per the above Table.
