TransGrid / RFI Proposed Substation Delivery Panel - Q2/12

The purpose of this document is to notify suppliers about TransGrid’s proposal to establish a new Panel for future procurement of substation related works, provide an overview of the potential program of work within the Panel and the proposed operation of the Panel, and as a market sounding process to seek feedback from potential Panel members. In particular, TransGrid intends to use this document to:

·           Gain a better understanding of the marketplace and potential suppliers;

·           Gauge the interest of suppliers in joining the Panel; and

·           Obtain feedback from potential Panel members on key terms of the Panel arrangement.

Following this market sounding process, TransGrid intends to issue a Request for Proposals (RFP) to the market for membership of the Panel. The information obtained from potential Panel members will provide TransGrid with a better understanding of the marketplace and allow TransGrid to develop a more targeted RFP for the Panel. TransGrid welcomes comments from any interested party.
