Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water / MOU-Support for TCSA Emergency Response & Resilience for the Platypus - C2023.208 Support funding received from SDZWA

This financial support from SDZWA will be used to conduct priority conservation research and drive crucial conservation outcomes for the Platypus. This project will strengthen the SDZWA-Taronga partnership and builds on the intention of SDZWA and Taronga Conservation Society Australia to explore additional collaborative projects that support each organisation’s mission of protecting and restoring biodiversity. The sharing of expertise in conservation research and practice between the two organizations will in turn support innovation and efficiencies in Taronga’s science-based conservation programs. This is a collaborative project between Taronga, San Diego Zoo Wildlife Alliance and the University of NSW, and will involve other partners across government and non-government entities (NSW Department of Planning and Environment and First Nations groups).
