Particulars of the goods or services to be provided under this contract

"Brindabella National Park has several strategic classified fire trails within the Reserve which form part of the FAFT Plan from the NSW RFS Southern Tablelands Bushfire Management Committee (BFMC).

Amendments to the Rural Fires Act 1997 (the Act), through the Rural Fires Amendment (Fire Trails) Act 2016, provide a legislative basis for the establishment and maintenance of an enhanced fire trail network in NSW. NPWS is responsible for meeting the requirements of this Act on NPWS managed land.

The Brindabella National Park FAFT Capital Upgrade works will allow improved access and safety improvements for bushfire fighting vehicles and personnel in the region. Bushfire response in the region will be improved through the upgrade of the trails to meet the RFS standard."
