Tender Details

Contract work requires a 25t excavator, D6 dozer and dump truck to shape rock spoil over an area of approximately 1 hectare. Shaping will be in a batter and bench format to address surface stability and blend in with surrounding shaped areas. Larger rocks (300mm+) sourced during shaping is to be sorted and placed as directed by the NPWS Site Supervisor Danny Matthews. The specifics of the shaping works will be as per Scope of Works and Design Plan (Attachment 1). SRS Team staff will oversee Environmental and WH&S site management requirements – although it would be expected that the successful tenderer has all insurance, environmental and WHS management requirements associated with their plant / operators.

A schedule of rates is required for the following plant (Wet Hire):

  • Labour
  • Dozer (D6 or equivalent)

  • Excavator (25T or equivalent) with ripper

  • Dumper

  • Stand – down and wet weather time rates

  • Mobilisation / Float charges from Park entry on Khancoban end of KNP5 Road

    Note:

  1. NPWS will pad Tooma bridge and do road closure management however the contractor will need to supply a support vehicle for the float. Once out of Park, it is the contractors’ responsibility to comply with standard RMS procedures for transporting heavy machinery.
  2. Float establishment costs will be as a lump sum on the schedule of Rates
  3. Float will turn around at the site just prior to the Happy Jacks – Tumut River bridge.
  4. Rubber tyred dumper under 20 tonne can come over Tumut Ponds Dam wall.
