Tender Details
The NSW LFHW program has been delivered by the NSW Government under licence from the Waste and Recovery Action Programme (WRAP) UK since 2010. It is a food waste avoidance education program aiming to support NSW households and food businesses with knowledge, awareness and skills to avoid food waste at home and in businesses. The program is delivered through partner’s initiation and grant or sponsorship funding.
The EPA’s Love Food Hate Waste (LFHW) program has traditionally operated solely as a partnership model. The partnership approach aims to extend the reach and opportunities for food waste avoidance education, with the umbrella program supporting partners to implement food waste avoidance behaviours.
The NSW Environment Protection Authority (EPA) is seeking to engage a suitably experienced contractor to develop a partnership strategy to revamp the current partnership engagement model and build a measurable framework to encourage strategic collaboration with partners to educate NSW residents and food businesses to avoid food waste by making food waste avoidance a social norm by 2021.
The EPA’s Litter Prevention Unit is similarly looking to engage a contractor to develop a partnership strategy in relation to the Don’t be a Tosser campaign and other parts of the EPA’s litter prevention program. This is independent of the development of the LFHW partnership strategy. Contractors that respond to this RFQ may be selected by the EPA and asked to quote separately for the development of a Litter Prevention Partnerships Strategy. A detailed brief will be provided to selected contractors.
