To carry out a comprehensive review of the Biosolids Guidelines focusing in relation to potentially pathogenic organisms in biosolids derived from sewage treatment plants, their application to land in NSW and the associated risks to agriculture, human health and the environment. The purpose of the review is to provide a report that addresses the current state of knowledge on the presence of potentially pathogenic organisms in biosolids, the risk to human health and the environment associated with those organisms and makes recommendations for best practice management in NSW.
