To carry out a comprehensive review of the Biosolids Guidelines with specific focus on contaminants of concern in biosolids applied to land, and the associated risks to agriculture, human health and the environment. The broad objective is to identify what contaminants should the EPA be concerned about and testing for, and what do we not need to be worried about, and why? The purpose of this review is to generate a report which addresses the current state of knowledge on contaminants of concern in biosolids, the risk to human health and the environment associated with those contaminants and makes recommendations for generating an updated contaminant list and related management approaches for inclusion in the remade guideline.
