Tender Details

The purpose of this Request for Tender (RFT) is to engage a Contractor to undertake a mid-life refurbishment of the NPWS Cat 9 tray exchange unit fleet, with a new life expectancy of ten years.

The Contractor is required to refurbish 280, 500 litre Category 9 tray exchange units, over a 24-month period. The scope of work is as per the NPWS technical specification.

In the first month of contract, the Contractor is required to agree upon with NPWS Contract Manager a monthly and yearly programme of work designed to meet the 24 month contract term, whilst not reducing NPWS fire response capability.  The program will consist of activities which represent the Contractors proposed method of completing the Contract Works. The program must contain sufficient detail to enable the NPWS to coordinate the activities of the Contractor with the activities of NPWS staff and other Contractors.

As part of the tender submission, a draft programme of work is to be submitted highlighting which month production would commence, yearly programme showing all months, rate of production and estimated number of units in production at any one time

Open Tenders - An invitation to tender by public advertisement with no restriction placed on who may tender. Tenderers will normally be required to demonstrate in their tender that they have the necessary skills, resources, experience, financial capacity, and in some cases licences, accreditations, etc., to fulfil the tender requirements.

Additional Details / Instructions

Tenderer briefings and associated Cat 9 tray exchange unit display will be held on the dates, times, and place, indicated below. The contact officer/s of the Agency will be available at that time to answer any queries regarding this RFT and the tender process generally, as well as having 5 units on display to allow tenderers to assess condition and required works. Names of persons attending the Tenderer briefing must be provided to the contact officer at least three working days prior to the date. Tender briefings are non-compulsory and non attendance will not impact on eligibility to submit a tender.
