Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water / Taronga Zoo Catering Services - C2011.010

This contract is for the provision of food and beverage services at Taronga Zoo for Retail and Function Operations for a five year term.

The objectives of this contract are to:
* Enhance visitors' experience of Taronga Zoo (TZ) by providing a dynamic In-Ground offer, and premium Function and Event catering which provides a point of difference from other tourism experiences in the Sydney area.
* Through destinational food and beverage outlets, bring new audiences to TZ.
 * Operate commercially viable In-Ground food and beverage operation which contribute finacially to the overall operation of Taronga Conservation Society (TCSA).
* Develop new and improved commercial opportunities and visitor facilities, including In-Ground Retail outlets to enable ongoing business growth and improvements.
* Align catering operations with the TCSA Sustainable Catering Plan; and
* Partner with a catering organisation that:
-  has similar values and vision to provide excellence in customer and service delivery;
-  Is innovative and willing to work with the TCSA to develop new markets, new initiatives and products to enhance customer experience and financial return; and
-  Will work with TCSA to to maximise finacial returns to both parties.

A mandatory pre-tender site meeting will be held at 10:30am to 1:30pm on Friday 2 December 2011 at the ANZ Lecture Theatre at Taronga Zoo (located on the right hand side of the main entry to Taronga Zoo, Bradleys Head Road, Mosman.

Respondents must notify the tender contact of the number of attendees who will attend  the briefing session and site tour.  Respondents should limit attendees to the briefing session to 4 unless by arrangement with the tender contact.
