Department of Climate Change, Energy, the Environment and Water / PROVISION OF SERVICES FOR COLLECTION OF HOUSEHOLD SPECIAL MATERIALS FROM COMMUNITY RECYCLING CENTRES - EPA-72-2013

Since 2003 EPA has delivered a Household Chemical Collection (HCC) program by using mobile equipment at temporary collection sites by which NSW households can dispose of household chemicals. 

The EPA has now commenced a program to establish a network of Community Recycling Centres (CRCs) across NSW which will allow greater access to residents for the safe disposal of High Volume Low Toxicity (HVLT) materials.  It is intended that the mobile events will continue with a stronger focus on the low volume high toxic group of household problematic wastes.

The EPA seeks to establish services to collect materials from these Community Recycling Centres across the State of NSW.  A separate Contractor will be appointed to provide Audit Services to verify the collection and disposal of the contracted materials and associated ‘by-catch’ (explained in the documents).

The period of the Contract will be for three (3) years with the option to renew for a further two periods of one year.
