Tender Details

·         Provide advice on the extent and detail of bore testing around three (3) Underground Petroleum Storage Systems (UPSS) at Kiandra required to validate this site.  The intention is to leave these tanks in-situ and fill with concrete slurry.  Historical significance poses disturbance limitations on this site which will need to be considered in this process.

·         Drill sufficient boreholes and undertake sampling to establish the sub-surface contamination conditions at the Kiandra UPSS site. The sampling should consist of soil tests and groundwater (if applicable).

·         Validation of ten (10) UPSS and associated bowser and fuel lines are to be removed.

·         Perform a visual site surface contamination inspection after the removal of the AST at the Yarrangobilly Hydro Plant and validate the removed fuel supply lines (15 metres) from the Hydro Plant to the AST.

·         Classification of associated spoil material at each site.

·         Where contamination is found, the contamination is to be removed, or an alternate management strategy is to be adopted.

·         Preparation of reports on the results of the validation exercise for each individual site.
