Provision of Design Services for Wyong Shire Cultural Centre - Masterplan and Design of facility to Development Approval and Documentation of Stage 1
Tenders are called for principle consultant to form and lead a consultant team to design and document a new cultural centre for Wyong Shire to be located in Wyong and accommodate a 450 seat theatre, 150 seat Studio and associated spaces including a 100 seat restaurant. The design must allow for staged construction of the cultural centre over a period of time. The scope of this consultancy will include the preparation of concept designs for the full Brief and a selected design for the full Brief suitable for Development Approval that also shows how staged delivery of the Centre can be achieved over time, and following receipt of the DA approval, documentation of the first stage of the facility. Allow for the time interval between the lodgement of the DA and receipt of an approved DA. The successful consultant team will have a proven track record in complex cultural facilities and be committed to working with Council to achieve Council’s objectives. Council is committed to a sustainable future and environmentally sustainable principles must be incorporated into the design. Drawings and documents prepared will fulfil Council’s requirements, be suitable for their intended purpose, comprehensive, and coordinated.

Ourimbah Fire Station - Building Construction
A new fire station for the rural fire service is to be constructed at Ourimbah Creek Road, Ourimbah. Earthworks for the site, to sub grade level, have been undertaken by others. This lump sum contract is for the construction of the fire station building and connection of associated services. Following construction of the building hard stand surfaces for access, parking etc will be constructed by others. It is currently planned that a contract for the building will be let in November 2009 with building construction completed by April 2010.

Extension of a 110mm diameter Polyethelene Reclaimed Water Main from Golden Hind Bowling Club to Eastern Road Oval
Wyong Shire Council is supplying tertiary treated chlorinated sewage effluent to numerous sporting facilities and playing fields in the Bateau Bay area via a rising main from the Bateau Bay Sewage Treatment Plant. Currently a 180mm reclaimed water main is supplying the Golden Hind Bowling Club for irrigation purposes. A 1200m long 110mm diameter pipe is to be connected and extended from the bowling club to the Eastern Road Oval via non surface disruptive (directional drilling) method for irrigation purposes.
