Tender Details
Tenders are invited to assist NSW Health to provide Emergency Departments and inpatient units with a) evidenced-based resources, tools/tactics to improve patient and staff satisfaction and/or b) Executive leadership Coaching for General and Network Managers to support the implementation and sustainability of the Program. The Program will be known as the “Improving Patient and Staff Experience Program or IPSE”.
From February 2011 20 hospitals will be offered the opportunity for their Emergency Departments and selected Inpatient Units to participate in the Improving Patient and Staff Experience Program. These hospitals will use and implement evidence-based tools, tactics and resources that will assist with culture change and improve the patient and staff experience. To assist with the implementation, the executive leadership will be supported and coached to utilise and apply the following: • approaches to clarify a ward/ units values and what the staff support as professional behaviours in there unit/ ward; • approaches to improve standards of communication between staff, patients and their carers; • approaches to consistency of care provided; • approaches to support frontline managers that include personal support, video and the IPSE school; • approaches to develop accountability frameworks.
