Tender Details
A key scope of work critical in the development of MAAS in Parramatta relates to the preparation, documentation, planning and logistical arrangements for the relocation of the MAAS collection. Substantial investment and human resources will be required to manage the transition of the collection and the development of content for the new museum in the lead-up to the opening of the museum.
As such, there is a need to develop a series of plans for this phase of the project. It will include the following parts, which are described in further detail below:
These seven deliverables form the requirements of this RFT.
•Collection Management Relocation Plan, including assessment of the collection, documentation, digitisation and conservation needs;
•Program & Timeline;
•Storage Analysis;
•Relocation Analysis, Strategy and Plan;
•Capital expenditure and operating expenditure assessment;
•Risk Assessment; and
•Procurement Plan
MAAS is seeking tenders from organisations or agencies with any or all of the skills necessary to carry out this work. It is envisaged that a consortium of individuals and companies may be required to fulfil the scope of this plan. Consultants and contractors will be required to consult closely with MAAS staff to fully utilise in-house knowledge and expertise in order to develop this plan.
The ‘granularity’ of these deliverables should be such that a clear timeline and investment model can be developed. It is not essential that a detailed plan of execution is developed for every collection item or element of the relocation – as this detailed work will be completed throughout the projects duration and would be the result of future procurement and MAAS resource augmentation at a later point.
