Stonecutters Ridge is a residential redevelopment being carried out by Medallist. Its location is within the Blacktown Local Government Area, an approximately 45 minute drive north-west of central Sydney CBD with easy access to the M7 Westlink, as well as Bella Vista, Castle Hill, Rouse Hill and Blacktown.
Blacktown City Council is seeking tenders from organisations to deliver a community development program, which includes a Community Development Worker and Community Initiatives Grants Program to;
· Provide community development activities and programs in Stonecutters Ridge, near Dean Park in the Blacktown LGA. Activities will include welcoming new households as the project develops, providing information to new residents about local services and facilities, facilitating appropriate community activities and programs, and working with the community and local service providers to set up sustainable community programs.
· Encourage the use of the full range of community facilities and activities available within Stonecutters Ridge, Dean Park, the Western Sydney Parklands and surrounding areas.
The community development program aims to
· Establish an identity for Stonecutters Ridge and the residents of Stonecutters Ridge.
· Create a sense of community among residents at Stonecutters Ridge.
· Assist new residents settle into their new homes and the surrounding area.
· Deliver community programs in response to community needs and aspirations.
