WSROC / Investigation and Design Documentation for Bridge Renewal Works at Peach Tree Road, Megalong Valley. - 2012-W732-153B

Blue Mountains City Council is seeking the services of a suitably qualified consultant to undertake the investigation, design and documentation to plan for the necessary repair works to the bridge located on Peach Tree Road, Megalong Valley at the following location:

The bridge on Peach Tree Road is located in the road reserve near LOT 166, DP 751647 on MapInfo layer Easting: 243,169m, Northing: 6,267,312m.

The works to Peach Tree Road Bridge include completing a condition report & treatment action plan, completing detailed design and tender documentation for the proposed renewal and repair work to the culvert structure and associated assets and make safe.   Please note that the culverts are classified ‘Buried Corrugated Metal Structures’ (BCMS).

The existing structure consists of twin culverts, buried corrugated metal structure (BCMS), located on Peach Tree Road, Megalong Valley approximately 2.7km from the intersection with Megalong Road.  It is understood that these culverts may have been installed in the early 1980’s as part of a re-alignment of this section of the roadway.  The existing structures are each approximately 35m in length, approximately 3.5m in height and are a pipe-arch cross section with a circumference length of approximately 13m.

The Conditions for Participation are mandatory requirements, which describe minimum standards that suppliers must meet for their submissions to be considered. If Quoters do not meet the Conditions of Participation, they will be excluded from the quote evaluation process.

The Conditions for Participation are:

·          The Quoter must be an acceptable legal entity. It is Council’s policy not to trade with any organisation that does not hold a registered ABN;

·          The Quoter and subcontractors must not be bankrupt or insolvent;

·          The Quoter shall declare and provide details of any occurrence, within 5 years prior to submitting a Quote, where the Quoter has been found guilty of breaching any Act or Regulation.

·          The Quoter must have the minimum level of insurance cover specified in this RFQ; and

All Quoters must comply with the New South Wales Government Code of Procurement.
