WSROC / Investigation and Design Documentation for Bridge Renewal Works at Nellies Glen Road, Megalong Valley. - 2012-W732-153C

Blue Mountains City Council is seeking the services of a suitably qualified consultant to undertake the investigation, design and documentation to undertake the necessary renewal and repair work to bridges located on Nellies Glen Road, Megalong Valley at the following locations:

The bridge on Nellies Glen Road is located adjacent to Stonehaven 126 Nellies Glen Road LOT 18 DP 751657 on MapInfo layer Easting: 244,596m, Northing: 6,264,295m.

The existing structure is located on Nellies Glen Road and is a concrete wearing surface on rubble causeway base.  Submerged pipe runs under causeway at approximately low point (midway) across the causeway.  The causeway is 22.5m in length, 5m wide with a 150mm wide/100mm high curb on upstream side. Existing height of causeway from creek bed varies from 500mm at edges to approximately 900mm at the centre. The existing causeway has a number of structural issues as follows:

deformation of the causeway at the middle;

cracking of the concrete pavement wearing course;

erosion at sub structure; and

public safety concern-: no barrier, reflectors or delineation.

The Conditions for Participation are mandatory requirements, which describe minimum standards that suppliers must meet for their submissions to be considered. If Quoters do not meet the Conditions of Participation, they will be excluded from the quote evaluation process.

The Conditions for Participation are:

·          The Quoter must be an acceptable legal entity. It is Council’s policy not to trade with any organisation that does not hold a registered ABN;

·          The Quoter and subcontractors must not be bankrupt or insolvent;

·          The Quoter shall declare and provide details of any occurrence, within 5 years prior to submitting a Quote, where the Quoter has been found guilty of breaching any Act or Regulation.

·          The Quoter must have the minimum level of insurance cover specified in this RFQ; and

All Quoters must comply with the New South Wales Government Code of Procurement.
