Tender Details

Design consultancy services for Junior Skate Facility at Melrose Park, Albion Street Katoomba, suitable for children learning to use wheeled implements and an upgrade to the current skate park at Goldsmith Place, Katoomba.

The Skate Park at Goldsmith Place Katoomba was constructed in 2001. The skate park is located at the end of Goldsmith Place, opposite the Katoomba Railway Station. It is considered that the location and difficulty of the Skate Park contributes to low levels of use from younger, less experienced skaters. However, this site is an adequate facility for older skaters and the design of new elements and features could enhance the existing Skate Park.

In order to improve the skating opportunities for the upper mountains, Council is seeking a consultant to provide designs for an upgrade to the existing Goldsmith Place Skate Park and the design of a junior skate park nearby in Melrose Park in North Katoomba.
