Council requires a Business Continuity Plan that provides a practical and clear process for how Council can prepare for, and continue to operate both during and after an incident or crisis. It is essential that the Business Continuity Plan will allow Council to:
• identify and prevent risks where possible
• prepare for risks that Council has little or no control over
• respond and recover if an incident or crisis occurs
• bring the most essential services back on line in the shortest time possible through thorough pre-planning and resource identification
