This tender is for Contract No. 8/2013 – Construction of Water and Sewer Reticulation for Industrial Subdivision at Cox Place Glendenning for Blacktown City Council with the method of payment being Lump Sum, not subject to Rise and Fall in costs.
Tenderers must be currently accredited on the Sydney Water “List of Accredited Suppliers - Constructors (external use)” with W1 and S1 capabilities.
The works involve the construction of
1. 382m of 150mm OPVC class PN16 RRJ water reticulation, and
2. 715m of 225mm UPVC class SN8 RRJ sewer main
for a 16 lot industrial subdivision in Cox Place Glendenning. Refer to the Drawings for the location and extent of the works.
The sewer main in Cox Place, Line 1, Line 2 up to the end of the kerb return, Line 4 to the property line and the first section of Line 5 will need to be constructed first to enable the road formation works for Cox Place to be carried out. The compacted backfill will only need to brought up to 500mm below finished surface level with manholes to be finished at the same level and covered by steel plates (subject to approval by Sydney Water). The remainder of the sewer and water mains will be constructed after formation of the road within the subdivision. The manholes in Cox Place to be completed at that time.
Excavation in Cox Place will be mainly in rock, while within the property to be subdivided there is mainly fill material.
Traffic control in Cox Place will need to be provided taking into account the large number of double B trucks using Cox Place 24 hours a day, 7 days a week.

Additional Details / Instructions
Tenderers may conduct site inspections on their own behalf. Currently no work has commenced on the earthworks and road formation.
The Tenderer must familiarise itself with the Works and the Site prior to submission of its tender. The Principal shall not accept any variation due to omissions as a result of the tenderer failing to visit the site.
