The successful contractor shall provide continuity of the existing (or similar) collection services. It is expected that the contractor will develop a collection methodology and schedules to improve operational efficiency and to meet demand for the period of the contract.
Council will continue to promote increased recovery of recyclable materials for collection. The Contractor shall make its own assessment of potential changes in the quantities and mix of recyclables collected over the duration of the contract. This shall include assessment of participation rates and any factors which may influence the modes of collection.
