WSROC / SUPPLY OF AIR COOLED REVERSE CYCLE SPLIT AIR CONDITIONING UNITS - C23/2012

This tender is for Contract No. 23 / 2012 – Supply of Air Cooled Reverse Cycle Split Air Conditioning Units for Blacktown City Council with the method of payment being Schedule of Rates, not subject to Rise and Fall in costs.

The purpose of this tender is to reduce greenhouse gas emissions and energy demand by replacing non-inverter room air conditioning units and split air conditioning units with inverter type air conditioning units using more environmentally friendly refrigerant.

This contract is for the supply only of approximately 130 - 160 inverter type air cooled reverse cycle air conditioning units of various capacities and either wall mounted split system, ceiling cassette split system or ceiling suspended split system, being Minimum Energy Performance Standard (MEPS) registered in accordance with AS/NZS 3823.2 – 2011. The total number of units to be supplied is dependent upon the funds available for the supply and installation of the units.

The supplier must have a Distribution Centre / Warehouse located in the Sydney area and have the capability to provide the units on request. Units are to be ordered as required and installed by Council’s preferred installers. The installers may collect the units from the Distribution Centre / Warehouse if located in the reasonable vicinity of Blacktown Council area, otherwise Council may request the unit/s be delivered to any nominated location within the Blacktown City Council area.

The air conditioning unit’s control system shall have the capability to be interfaced with BACnet Building Management Control System. Units may or may not be ordered with this BACnet interface included.

The air conditioning units shall come with five (5) year’s parts and labour warranty.

This contract will be awarded to only one (1) tenderer offering the best value for money for inverter type air cooled reverse cycle split air conditioners covering the range of capacities required. This may be for one or more brand of air conditioner unit.

This is a re-tender of the previous C5/2012 contract. Those companies that tendered for C5/2012 must re-tender for contract 23/2012. The information submitted will need to be copied onto the new submission forms for this contract.

Tenders may be submitted either by use of electronic means via the website, https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc/ or by hardcopy form in a sealed envelope and placed in the tender box located on the ground floor of Blacktown City Council Civic Centre, 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown.

All methods of submitting tenders shall be received before the closing time and date for tenders as indicated in the advertisement.
