Tender Details

Duck River forms the border between Auburn and Parramatta Council areas. The Duck River corridor contains regionally significant areas of natural bushland and wildlife habitat. The Upper Duck River Riparian and Wetland zone contain the following NSW listed Endangered Ecological Communities – Cumberland River Flat Forest, Cumberland Swamp Oak Riparian Forest and Coastal Freshwater Reedland. A Plan of Management for the Upper Duck River Wetland and Riparian zone has been adopted by Auburn and Parramatta Councils.

Restoration works began on the worksite 12 months ago with primary and secondary works being carried out. The site was degraded with exotic climbers, green cestrum, tradescantia and asparagus fern dominating.

Continued primary and secondary works are needed on the site as well as maintenance and understorey planting.
