Tender Details

Requirements of veterinary supplies may vary depending on how many animals are impounded at the time.

Blacktown Animal Rehoming Centre can accommodate up to 135 dogs and 230 cats, we also medically treat animals in foster care when we face going over capacity with animals.

The Dr Russ Dickens Veterinary Clinic operates within Blacktown Animal Rehoming Centre, all animals impounded have an incoming health and vaccination check, an outgoing welfare and vaccination update as well as any medications or veterinary care required whilst impounded.

We administer  to all animals, to maintain the health of all animals in our care and reduce the spread of diseases. Animals are provided with vaccinations, gastrointestinal treatments, wormers and flea and tick preventatives.

Due to storage the facility will require the delivery of veterinary supplies on a weekly basis.. Further to this we may need to add additional deliveries or cancel standing orders should the need arise.

The Veterinary and Welfare team at BARC also require consumables on a regular basis for the daily running of the clinic, to treat and perform surgeries to the animals in our care. Additionally, we ensure a high standard of hygiene by regularly procuring cleaning chemicals, surgical and veterinary materials, medications, and testing equipment, such as parvovirus and giardia tests.

All deliveries are to be delivered to the Dr Russ Dickens Veterinary Clinic at BARC and delivered to a Veterinarian or Vet Nurse to ensure items are stored correctly.

All products are to be supplied in recyclable PET plastic, aluminium or biodegradable material.
