WSROC / LANDSCAPING CONSTRUCTION AND MAINTENANCE - C12/2011- EXPRESSION OF INTEREST

Expressions of Interest are sought from landscaping companies experienced in the construction and/or maintenance of landscaping works in public areas.

The works under the contract will generally include:

·      Construction of landscaping works anywhere within the Blacktown City Council area with the type and extent of the works varying for each project as allocated by Council. Maintenance of constructed landscape areas under this contract and existing landscaped areas constructed by others, anywhere within the Blacktown City Council area with the type and extent of the works varying for each project as allocated by Council.

·      The works may be located within parks and reserves, on central medians of major roads, on roundabouts, along minor roads, at Council buildings or other public areas.

·      The works may be allocated at any time during the contract term as and when required

·      Traffic Control will be required for works on or near roads.

The EOI is the first stage of a two-stage process.  Following the close of the EOI the Principal may proceed to the calling of a Selective Request for Tender (RFT).  The issuing of an EOI does not commit the Principal to proceeding with an RFT.

Eligibility to participate in the RFT will be restricted to those providers who comply with the provisions of this EOI, satisfy the selection criteria and who are accepted by Council.

The submission of an EOI does not commit the Principal to accept any respondent as a selective tenderer.

Respondents may lodge their EOI in hardcopy form and place in Council's Tender Box.

EOIs must be submitted using the printed copies of the EOI Form and EOI Submission Documents downloaded from the WSROC tendering website. All information on all forms must be submitted. Failure to use these forms may result in your EOI not being considered.

All documents are to be enclosed in a sealed envelope, marked legibly as follows:

Electronic Tendering

To lodge tender responses electronically the files containing the tender response must be up-loaded through the website. Access to the up-loading process is through the blue 'LODGE A RESPONSE' button.

The EOI Submission Workbook downloaded from the eTender website is to be copied with the file name as "yourcompanyname.xls". All worksheets and all information on each worksheet is to be completed and submitted. The excel file is to be submitted.

Submissions received after the Deadline will not be accepted for evaluation.

The time for close of the EOI will be the date and time stamp provided by the eTendering website for electronically uploaded EOI’s, and the clock above the Tender Box located on the ground floor of Blacktown City Council Civic Centre for paper EOI’s. No hardcopy EOI will be accepted once the tender box has been unlocked and opened by Council staff.

Responses will be evaluated and the Selected Tenderers recommended to Council at the Ordinary Meeting of Council on 29th February 2012. Those Selected Tenderers will be notified and invited to tender for the contract during the first week in March 2012.
