WSROC / Landscaping Construction and Maintenance Selective Tender - C12/2012

This tender is for Contract No. 12 / 2012 – Landscaping Construction and Maintenance for Blacktown City Council with the method of payment being Schedule of Rates, subject to Rise and Fall in costs.

The works under the contract will generally include:

·       Construction of landscaping works anywhere within the Blacktown City Council area with the type and extent of the works varying for each project as allocated by Council. It is expected that contractors construct both smaller and larger landscaping works.

·       Maintenance of landscape areas constructed under this contract after the establishment period and certain existing landscaped areas constructed by others but not maintained under another contract, anywhere within the Blacktown City Council area with the type and extent of the works varying for each project as allocated by Council. It is expected contractors maintain both smaller and larger landscaped areas.

·       The works may be located within parks and reserves, on central medians of major roads, on roundabouts, along minor roads, at Council buildings or other public areas.

·       The works may be allocated at any time during the contract term as and when required. There will be no guarantee for the size, quantity or frequency of any works allocated to any contractor. Contractors will be expected to carry out all types and sizes of work under the contract.

·       Traffic Control will be required for works on or near roads.

The Schedule of Rates provides pay items for the types of works that may or not be encountered under this contract.

Works will be allocated for construction based on Council’s approved Works Improvement Program of works that commences each financial year on 1 July.

Works will be allocated for maintenance of landscaping as and when required but is subject to approved funding.

Selective Tenders - An invitation to tender that is made to a limited number of tenderers, from a Pre-qualified Panel. Tenderers are pre-qualified, for an ongoing program of works or services, on a proven record of satisfactory performance in the category for which tenders are sought.

Tenders may be submitted either by use of electronic means via the website, https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc/ or by hardcopy form in a sealed envelope and placed in the tender box located on the ground floor of Blacktown City Council Civic Centre, 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown.

Only those respondents to the Expression of Interest, C12/2011 Landscaping Construction and Maintenance and who have been invited by Council to tender by letter from Council may download the documents and submit a tender.

The Passcode provided in the letters to accepted respondents will be required to download the documents, and to upload the tender submission into the eTender tender box.
