Tender Details

Council is calling for a suitable qualified building contractor to construct the proposed changeroom facility at Mona Park.

Mona Park is a large park in the western part of Auburn adjacent to the Duck River. It is bound by Mona St, Chisholm Rd, Mary St and Duck River. It is a premier venue for cricket in the summer season and has three natural turf wickets. In the winter season, Mona Park is used for both AFL and soccer.

Mona Park has four separate playing areas; and a significant lack of changing space to service the needs of users for fields 2 and 4, which has been an issue for many years. The only changeroom facilities available are located in between fields 1 and 3 and are at capacity.

The proposed construction works does not require a DA. Part 3, Division 12 of the State Environmental Planning Policy (SEPP) Infrastructure) 2007, permits these improvement works to be carried out by Council without Development Consen
