Tender Details
This tender is for Contract No. 18 / 2011 – Supply and Install Gross Pollutant Traps for Blacktown City Council with the method of payment being Lump Sum, not subject to Rise and Fall.
The works under this contract will generally include the construction of gross pollutant traps in the following locations:
1) Outlet to Blacktown Creek in St Martins Village at Blacktown Road, Blacktown;
2) Main channel low flow pipe for Angus Creek in Rooty Hill Reserve upstream of Rooty Hill Road South, Rooty Hill;
3) Outlet to Little Creek nearest to Halmahera Crescent and Saipan Avenue, Lethbridge Park;
4) Outlet to Little Creek nearest to Halmahera Crescent and Luxford Road, Lethbridge Park;
5) Outlet to Little Creek nearest to Siemens Avenue, Emerton;
6) Outlet to Little Creek nearest to Popondetta Road and Anderson Avenue, Blackett;
7) Main Channel of Blacktown Creek (Within Mitchell Reserve) Nearest to Tudor Avenue, Blacktown.
The contract will include installation of the gross pollutant traps and all ancillary works as illustrated on the drawings. For details refer to Specifications.
All works must be completed by June 2012.
Maintenance and cleaning of the gross pollutant traps will be required for a period of 12 months post practical completion of the works.
Maintaining restored sites, for example watering of newly laid turf or hydromulch, will also be required for a period of three (3) months.
The successful tenderer will also be required to develop and submit to Council an operation and maintenance manual for each of the devices, tailored to the individual site requirements and provide requirements for standard and annual cleans.
Tenders will be assessed for each GPT and Council reserves the right to award all GPTs to one tenderer or any number of GPTs to any number of tenderers.
The lowest or any tender may not necessarily be accepted.

Tenders may be submitted either by use of electronic means via the website, https://tenders.nsw.gov.au/wsroc/ or by hardcopy form in a sealed envelope and placed in the tender box located on the ground floor of Blacktown City Council Civic Centre, 62 Flushcombe Road, Blacktown.
