Council invites tenders from fleet owning companies at tendered rates and

Expressions of Interest from lorry owner drivers at fixed rates in accordance with the Transport Industry - Excavated Materials, Contract Determination for the hire of following types of trucks for work on Council’s projects from 1 July 2013 to 30 June 2015:

2 axle trucks (single rear axle) minimum capacity 5.78 cu.m.
3 axle trucks (bogie rear axle) minimum capacity 9.00 cu.m.
Tipper truck and dog trailer combination

Conditions for Participation

Fleet owners who are required to tender hourly rates for hire of their trucks shall be incorporated companies owning two or more trucks driven by the employees of the company.

Lorry owner/drivers who are required to submit expressions of interest shall be paid for the hire of their trucks in accordance with the Transport Workers Union Excavated Materials Consolidated Contract Determination hourly rates current at the close of tender
