CLEANING POLLUTION CONTROL DEVICES, CCTV AND CLEANING OF STORMWATER PIPES
This tender is for Contract No. 5 / 2013 – Cleaning of Pollution Control Devices, CCTV and Cleaning of Stormwater Pipes for Blacktown City Council with the method of payment being Schedule of Rates, subject to Rise and Fall in costs after a specified period has elapsed (refer to Special Conditions Clause SC2). The works under this contract includes: PART A: the inspection and reporting the status of Pollution Control Devices (PCD) on a regular basis, and the cleaning and reporting of PCD when required, including transport and disposal of all pollutants and other rubbish to an authorised tip site. PART B: CCTV, cleaning and clearing of drainage pipes, including transport and disposal of all pollutants and other rubbish to an authorised tip site. PART C: Cleaning of drainage pits, including transport and disposal of all pollutants and other rubbish to an authorised tip site. PART D: Day work rates to be included with Parts A, B and C above. Tenderers may tender for all or any Parts A, B and C. Part D is to be included with all tenders. Council may award the above Parts A, B and C either as a single package to one or several tenderers or each part separately to one or several tenderers.

The Blacktown City Council Digital Local Government Program Video Conferencing Solution is being deployed as part of the Department of Broadband and Digital Economy’s Digital Local Government program. Blacktown City Council aims to : a. Establish a Video Conference Service delivery capability to interact between a Council regional centre, Riverstone and the Civic Centre in the Blacktown CBD, some 20km away, via the NBN services available in Riverstone. b. The new service delivery method is to establish an online interactive customer service access point using a Video Conferencing solution, with the features and functionality of voice and video, document sharing, online process and information capture. c. The service will be capable of accepting a public accessible video conference session and Council should be able to replicate this service into future NBN enabled access points.
