Gross Pollutant Trap GPT Cleaning
Council is calling for responses from suitably qualified Contractors to provide an ongoing cleaning service of all 25 Gross Pollutant Traps within the Auburn LGA. The subject cleaning is a regular clean up and cleaning is to be done via sucker truck. The waste is to be removed and disposed of at a OEH approved and licensed facility. The Contract term will be 12 months, with the option for 2 x 12 month extensions, Commencement of works is expected within 5 days of the letter of acceptance. Council will seek to engage a Primary Contractor with one back up Contractor in times of increased or unforseen demand or if Primary Contractor is unable to complete works in desired timeframes. Some GPTs may require dewatering, None require formal traffic management, Most are expected to require confined spaces entry, Respondents are advised to inspect the sites in regards to access or location.

Supply and Installation of Gross Pollutant Trap
The contract work shall be in accordance with the construction plans and relevant specifications including, but not limited to; a) Excavate, supply and complete installation of P1512 unit, including diversion chamber. Note: Due to the limited storage facilities in the vicinity of the site, it is required that all excavated materials will be loaded onto truck immediately, stockpile at a convenient place as agreed by the Supervising Engineer and re-imported to the site when needed. b) Shoring for the installation of the GPT. A certified copy of the shoring details must be submitted to the supervision engineer for approval. c) Locate all services on site prior to the commencement of any work on site. A copy of the services diagram including the location and levels must be submitted to the supervising engineer. d) Submit Project Management Plan including Safe Work Method Statement (SWM) for the works, project specific requirements, sub-contractors and suppliers details, Occupational Health & Safety information, Environmental Management etc; The Safe Work Method Statement must be submitted prior to the commencement of any construction work on site. The SWM must identify potential hazards, hazard control measures, level of risk of all individual work items, the type of risks, proposed risk management etc; In addition to the above, the contractor must submit a soil and water management plan prior to the commencement of any construction work on site. A copy of the site specific safety management plan is included for information only as an Appendix. The contractor may use the details provided in order to prepare their Project Management Plan for the works. e) Disposal of all excess spoils. f) Reinstatement of all disturbed areas.
