Tender Details
This tender is for Contract No; 5/2015 - Hire of Trucks for the financial years 2015/16 to 2017/18.
Council accepts tenders from fleet owners and expressions of interest from owner drivers for the following categories of trucks to be hired by Council:
- 2 axle tipper trucks with minimum capacity of 5.78 cubic metres
- 3 axle tipper trucks with minimum capacity of 9 cubic metres
- Tipper truck and dog trailer combination.
All tendered items of trucks that meet the requirements of the tender documents will be accepted and placed on a listing of trucks for hire.
Trucks that comply with minimum Euro 3 emission standard or fitted with catalytic convertors complying with RMS standard shall be given preference when hired by Council.
The term of this contract will be for three years from 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2018
The tendered rates shall be fixed for the financial year commencing 1 July 2015 to 30 June 2016.
Tendered rates shall be adjusted for rise and fall of labour and fuel costs for the financial year commencing 1 July 2016 to 30 June 2017 and then again for the financial year commencing 1 July 2017 to 30 June 2018
Lorry owner drivers will be paid the minimum hourly rates and travelling allowances in accordance with the Transport Industry- Excavated Materials, Consolidated Contract Determination.
