- Approximately 2.5 km twin metro railway tunnels, including mined cross passages

- Excavation of a mined crossover cavern at the West of Pymont station site

- Pyrmont station station mined cavern excavation

- Hunter Street station mined cavern excavation

- Turnback tunnels and mined cavern to the East of Hunter Street (Sydney CBD) station site

At Pyrmont and Hunter Street station sites, works will also include:

- Demolition of all existing building/structures

- The provision of cast in situ concrete linings for all mined station caverns, adites and nozzle enlargements and

- Anciliary works including utility services works and minor road works
