Particulars of the goods or services to be provided under this contract

The Sydney Terminal Area Reconfiguration (STAR) is part of the More Trains, More Services (MTMS) portfolio of investments to deliver strategic outcomes identified. STAR is to maximise existing assets in the area between Sydney Terminal, Erskineville and Macdonaldtown to deliver increased capacity.

The Contractor has been engaged to provide signalling detailed design, construction support and commissioning support services for:

- Package 1A: Sydney Yard Phase One project; and

- Package 1B: Erskineville Crossovers project.

This Contract has since been varied, including:

- removal of turnouts at Erskineville

- additional catch point at Sydney Yard

- independent signalling design review at Hurstville

- signalling bungalow expansion at STAR

- updated staging strategy for Sydney Terminal

- catch point removal at Sydney Yard

- turnout renewal at Sydney Yard

- signal repeater at Erskineville

- STAR enabling stages

- cost impacts relating to various design changes

- additional commissioning resources

- cost impacts relating to control table review and design

- cost impacts relating to revision in signalling staging strategy

- design impacts

- cost impacts arising from Protected Industrial Action (PIA).
