An electronic timing system is fundamentally important to the continued capacity of the Sydney International Regatta Centre (SIRC) to host competitive events. The current electronic timing system at SIRC is beyond 20 years old. As a result, the Office seeks to replce the current electronic timing system at SIRC.
It is expected that replacement would include the installing of new timing and photo finish equipment, networking including Wi-Fi and computer equipment, fibre optic cabling and lightning protection, closed circuit television (CCTV) cameras and timing hut communications systems.
