"Department of Primary Industries Wollongbar Institute Fire System Upgrade

We are seeking tenders to install a new fire monitoring system at the Wollongbar Institute at 1243 Bruxner Highway, Wollongbar NSW 2477. 

This tender will cover the upgrade/installation of a new fire detection system as per scope and drawing from Competent Fire Safety Professionals Chris Honey F015481D.

The work will cover installation. 

• Research Building - Replacement of the existing Vigilant F4000 fire indicator panel with a new Pertronic F220 fire panel. The existing Simplex QE90 emergency warning and intercommunication system shall be retained and augmented. Provision of a Pertronic F220 Network Control Unit (full function mimic) at the building entry point.

• Accessions Building – Provision of a new Pertronic F220 fire panel complete with occupant warning system.

• Bioscience Building - Replacement of the existing conventional fire indicator panel with a new Pertronic F220 fire panel complete with an occupant warning system.

• Horticultural and Fisheries Building – Removal of the existing conventional fire indicator panel and installation of a new Pertronic F220 fire panel complete with occupant warning system.

• Provision of fiber optic network cards for each fire panel and establishment of the fire panel network.

• Provision of the network connection between the fire panels.

• Retention and reuse of existing fire detection system cabling subject to condition assessment and successful commissioning testing.

• Removal of all existing smoke & heat detectors and manual call points.

• Retention and reuse of all existing occupant warning speakers subject to the condition assessment and successful commissioning testing.

• Installation of all required cabling and interface modules.

• Installation of smoke and heat detection in accordance with the design drawings.

• Installation of occupant warning speakers and visual alarm devices in accordance with the design drawings.

• Installation of fire door hold open magnets to fire doors in the Research Building where shown on the drawings.

• Provision of a failsafe shutdown signal to any multi-enclosure (room) air conditioning/handling systems.

• Provision of an output alarm and fault signal to the facility security monitoring service Networking Connections between buildings will require the installation of a new Fibre Cable. Method of connection to discuss with client."
