Lysimeter system - P24-7155

"NSW DPI soils research team are seeking an automated water-by-weight lysimeter system to fit out a walk-in growth chamber facility. The system will need to be designed to fit the following criteria:

•The system must be modular and mobile and able to be hand-manoeuvred in and out of a 900mm doorway.

•System to include minimum 40 x cylinder-style pots ~740mmH x 300mmW packed with soil (preferably 4 pots per trolley x 10 trolleys)  

•Each pot is to rest on a load cell with data logging and feedback control of water dosage via solenoid valves.

•Precise flow control and dosage at multiple depths on soil column

•Accurate data logging of soil temp and soil moisture at multiple depths

•Wi-Fi control for remote access, alerts and data acquisition

•Minimum IP65 rating for trolley and load cells – ability to withstand UV light (LED) high humidity, dirt, and moisture in growth room environment.

•Standard tap fitting for dosage controller

•Power via overhead GPO

•Cooling system incorporated for minimum of 16 lysimeters.

The tendered price is to include delivery to site, commissioning and testing of the equipment and training of staff. All disbursements are to be included.
