Transport for NSW Next Generation Infrastructure Services (NGIS) - TfNSW 2013/018 - EOI

The formal objectives of the NGIS project are:

To replace existing major IT sourcing contracts with ones that ensure:

Leverage across the full Transport cluster size to achieve scale, consistency, efficiency, effectiveness and improved risk management;

IT performance is improved with enhanced stability and reliability, faster fulfillment and speed of fixes and greater cost transparency; and

 The commercial flexibility to allow for the adoption of Cloud and other delivery models, private sector participation, and other new ways of working, all without penalty.

Whilst:

Delivering efficiencies and new ways of working that support the formation of the integrated Transport authority;

Providing increased capacity and agility that can better respond to future changes in the delivery and administration of Transport;

Supporting the sector-wide reform under the Corporate Shared Services Reform Program (CSSRP);  and

Aligning with the Government ICT strategy and the Transport ICT strategy.

In this RFEOI, the scope is termed “The Four Tower Service Model” and in summary is comprised of;

-Server & Webhosting/Data Centre Infrastructure;

-End User Computing and Messaging;

-Managed Network Services; and

-Service Desk

Expression of Interest For Pre-Qualification - An invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for pre-registration of prospective tenderers for a type of work or service. Applicants are initially evaluated against published selection criteria. RFT may then be invited from a panel of providers (as Selective, or Invited).
