Sydney Water’s WaterFix® Plumbing Services programs provide our customers with premium plumbing services with a focus on water efficiency and water savings. The aim is to provide customer-focused water efficiency offerings that are a component of Sydney Water’s drought response strategy. WaterFix® Residential is a program that targets residential households. WaterFix® Strata is a program that targets multi-level residential and mixed developments. The scope of WaterFix® Residential and WaterFix® Strata services include:

• Water efficiency audits.
• Proactive and corrective plumbing installations, repairs and maintenance for residential dwellings and strata developments. It includes but is not limited to:

  • minor, major and concealed leak repairs.
  • tap, toilet and cistern replacements.
  • water efficient device replacements and installations
  • rainwater system inspections, repairs and maintenance; and
  • concealed leak detection.

WaterFix® Commercial is a program that currently targets medium to large commercial businesses including aged care, hotels, shopping centres, hospitals, destination venues etc. WaterFix® Schools is a program that targets all school types including public, private and religious. The scope of WaterFix® Commercial and WaterFix® Schools includes

-Proactive and corrective plumbing installations, repairs and maintenance for commercial and school premises. It includes but is not limited to

  • minor, major and concealed leak repairs.
  • all types of taps, toilet and cistern replacements.
  • urinal sensors and solenoid valve replacements.
  • pre-rinse spray valve replacements;
  • water-efficient device replacements and installations;
  • hot water service replacements;
  • cooling tower float valve repairs and replacements;
  • concealed leak detection; and
  • rainwater system inspections, repairs and maintenance.

WaterFix® Concealed Leaks is a program designed to help Sydney Water customers, save water and money by providing specialized services to locate and repair hidden leaks. Concealed leak investigations are a specialist plumbing service. To find hidden leaks It requires not only specialized equipment such as, underground acoustic listen gear, pipe/services locating devices, inert gas injection, gas detection etc. It also requires an intricate understanding of plumbing system and a lot of experience in locating and understanding leaks.

Expression of Interest for Specific Contracts - An invitation for Expression of Interest (EOI) for pre-registration of prospective tenderers for a specific work or service. Applicants are initially evaluated against published selection criteria, and those who best meet the required criteria are invited to Tender (as tender type Pre-Qualified/Invited).

Conditions for Participation

If selected to participate in this sourcing event Tenderers must have:

  • Minimum Work, Health, Safety criteria: AS4801/AS/NZS/ISO45001; OR NSW government WHS management system and auditing guidelines - 6th Edition; OR Office of Federal Safety Commission (OFSC accreditation);
  • Agree to and have the ability to operate under a NEC4 Supply Agreement Contract Structure
  • Key Personnel have a minimum of 5-years demonstrated experience relevant to the services with an Australian Water Utility or Equivalent Sector.
  • Contractor Licence – Plumbing (Registered as per NSW Fair Trading / Service NSW, licensee name, licence number, trade, suburb).
  • Detailed Approach and Methodology outlining each service specified

It is anticipated that contract(s) will be awarded by August 2024
