Return-to-Work and Treatment Guidelines

icare is seeking to engage a supplier for evidence-based guidelines to support consistent and fair compensation for individuals after a workplace injury or illness and Motor accident injury. These guidelines are injury specific and provide information relating to the recommended time to return-to-work and payment for the worker’s medical expenses.

The guidelines must be provided through an automated process with minimal friction to ensure injured workers receive the treatment they need as soon as possible and provide case managers with an integrated tool to assist with decision making.

The guidelines must be evidence based and applicable for use in the Australian personal injury environment. This includes use of Australian health-related payment classification codes to ensure all recommendations are aligned for the Australian context i.e Australian Medical Association (AMA), Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme (PBS) and State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) payment codes.
In the event the provider is unable to provide evidence-based guidelines applicable for use in the Australian personal injury environment, i.e Australian Medical Association (AMA), Pharmaceutical Benefit Scheme (PBS) and State Insurance Regulatory Authority (SIRA) payment code, icare may be able to provide a list of mask data for the provider to use to derive the guidelines.
