Tender Details

"Bancannia Groundwater Investigation - Design, Construction, Wireline Logging and Testing of Production Water Monitoring Bores

Technical Scope details work to be performed by the contractor.

The contractor will be required to design, construct, wireline log, install and run pumping tests in up to five production water monitoring bores. The contractor will perform the service as a single provider or by engaging with sub-contractors.

The drilling will be mostly in Devonian sandstone which is a competent rock to drill through.

The preferred drilling method is rotary mud drilling.

Cementing of shallower aquifers may be required.

Drillers will be required to hold a NSW Class 5 drilling licence.

The drilling is expected to commence in March 2024.

The objective of the contracted works is to install a series of ‘fit for purpose’ water bores that yield groundwater representative of conditions (pressure and quality) in the target aquifer/formation.

The bores will be pump tested to determine the aquifer parameters and equipped with submersible pumps suitable for the supply of domestic and/or stock water.

We provide an opportunity for the Contractor to design a bore installation campaign that maximises efficiency and provides value for money. The Contractor is to provide bores that are cost effective to both install and operate for ongoing groundwater supply and meet the ‘fit for purpose’ requirement.

Services are to be provided to conduct safe and efficient operations within the remote western NSW operating environment and be suitable to operate in compliance with requirements of the relevant NSW laws and regulations.

All equipment proposed by the Contractor to perform the services must be accompanied by full specifications, stating manufacturer, model numbers, ratings and capacities. The complete International Association of Drilling Contractors (IADC) equipment list for the rig will be included in the executed agreement with the successful Contractor."
