Tender Details
The Live Music Census will provide insights into the current landscape of the live music industry. The census and research will cover the current landscape of the live music industry, the economic contribution of the live music, barriers or unmet need within the sector and the social and cultural impact. The successful supplier will deliver two stages of research, a census of venues followed by research into the live music industry.
The first stage will include a database of live music venues in NSW. This will consider existing available datasets as well as the need for stakeholder consultation to ensure relevance in a NSW setting.
Stage 2 will expand on the venues census to include events and festivals as well as a research component. The research questions aim to understand the size and shape of the industry (including intensity of activity) the needs and barriers within the industry, the economic impact as well as the social and cultural impact.
The final report for stage two should include a thorough economic impact assessment of the live music industry that considers location of activity as well as both direct and indirect impacts and the effect of COIVD-19 on activity levels.
