Construct 7x 24m New Parramatta River Ferries

Transport for NSW (TfNSW) on behalf of Sydney Ferries invites submission of Proposals for the Construction of 7x 24m New Parramatta River Ferries under a discrete agreement/s over a term of 24 months with successful Proponents. To encourage proposals from ship builders of all sizes, including smaller Australian and New Zealand based builders, Proponents will not be required to submit proposals to build all 7 vessels.

This RFT will be conducted in accordance with the requirements of the NSW Government SME and Regional Procurement Policy and will require all successful Proponents to submit an SME and local participation plan which commits to SME Participation to submit their SME and Local Participation Plans which references SME and NSW-specific content, consistent with International Procurement Agreement (IPA) obligations.

An Australian marine design and engineering firm has been engaged to provide the vessel design.

A significant proportion of tender evaluation criteria weightings are targeted at local content, SME and regional participation and sustainability.
